Declarations of lnterest Councillors M E J Nott, D Sage, P J White and G W Davies declared a personal interest in that one of the candidates who had applied for the post was a Labour Councillor within Bridgend County Borough Council.
Other Members and Council Officers also acknowledged knowing this candidate, however, all those present confirmed that whilst they were familiar with this Councillor, and some of the other applicants who worked for the Authority, this would have no bearing in their selection of applicants to go forward to the next stage of the selection process.

Exclusion of the Public RESOLVED: That under Section 100A(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business, because of the likelihood that, if members of the public are present during this item, there would be disclosure to them of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 12 of Part 4 of Schedule 12A of the said Act:-
